Web And Graphic Designer

Reasons to Believe (RTB) is an international, outreach-oriented, science apologetics ministry. Our mission is to spread the Christian gospel by demonstrating that sound reason and scientific research—including the very latest discoveries—consistently support, rather than erode, confidence in the truth of the Bible and faith in the personal, transcendent God revealed in both Scripture and nature.

We are seeking a full-time graphic and web designer to serve Reasons to Believe (RTB) with support in print, digital, and branded materials needed to further the organization’s mission and vision. This position is also responsible for some web design and prototyping for Web pages, landing pages, and websites/microsites. Responsibilities/Duties:

Marketing Graphic Design

• Produce visuals and design materials during content creation and the production process
• Design online communication pieces, including building templates and scheduled emails
• Design print layout and Graphics for the Reasons newsletter.
• Also design Reasons response devices and envelope
• Support RTB’s online publishing of written and video content by creating thumbnails, social media visuals, etc.
• Create advertising graphics for multiple channels
• Implement RTB’s brand standards into graphic design work for various programs and project managers
• Help maintain a consistent branding look, feel, and identity for RTB programs and properties
• Design e-books and online ads for content offers.
• Support ongoing major campaigns/projects/events by designing needed content.
• Design marketing pieces to promote premiums and sales items.
• Assist with formatting/design of whitepapers
• Create thumbnails for YouTube
• Create graphics/carousels/other social media graphics

Design and Illustration for RTB Press and RTB General Branding

• Produce book figures and elements for RTB Press books and resources
• Works with MarComms leadership and team to ideate and develop RTB-branded assets
• In some cases, produce cover design for certain RTB Press books and other published resources
• Maintain and update the RTB Brand Guidelines document and implement them in workflow

Web Design

• Create Web banners for new RTB Outreach events
• Wireframe and prototype Web projects
• Design Web landing pages/microsites

Qualifications:

• Proficient knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Adobe XD, and Wordpress
• Understands multiple design styles and theories; demonstrated ability to create illustrations and Graphics using multiple feels and genres, not just one style of graphic design
• Experience in advertising and promotion design
• Proactive self-starter, conscientious—stays alert and takes initiative on projects and opportunities within the vision and scope of the project manager
• Can work independently and as a team member on multiple projects simultaneously––taking ownership for innovation and improvement
• Able to create mock-ups for project manager approvals before developing final design
• Able to manage a high volume of design requests through strong follow-up and organization
• Eager to be challenged, to develop and grow professionally
• Experience in Web wireframing and prototyping
• Knowledge in UX/UI preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
