We are currently searching for an experienced Water Resources/Hydraulics Engineerto support our Mid Atlantic Region located in Springfield, VA.
What you’ll be doing:
- Will be responsible to perform stormwater and hydrologic analysis and designs for highway projects within the team
- Able to produce high quality design, construction plan set, and technical reports for stormwater projects for various owners, including municipalities, state (VDOT), and federal
- Will work independently
- Position includes client interaction and a commitment to client service
- Should be familiar with regional standards and permitting process including VDOT, MDOT, DDOT, VPDES, MDE, and DOEE
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent related degree is required
- 2 - 7 years related experience required
- Strong writing, oral communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience with water resources design elements related to, but not limited to:
- Virginia, Maryland, and DC Stormwater Management Program
- Modeling
- H&H analysis
- Erosion and sediment control plans and strategies
- Perform technical work in various software applications, including but not limited to MicroStation, Civil 3D, PCSWMM, StormCAD, PondPack, HEC-RAS, and ARC-GIS/ARC-GIS PRO, etc…
- Ability to deliver quality projects for a wide range of clients.
- Land disturbance permits and storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP).
