Our South Florida Water Group is hiring a Water Resources EIT to work in our West Palm Beach, Florida office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist project engineers and senior engineers in various civil and/or Water Resources management related projects, including dams/levees/civil works and water supply management
- Field and desktop data collection
- Modeling and analysis
- Prepare engineering design calculations
- Environmental permitting support
- Technical report development
- Development of visual aids for client and stakeholder presentations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other related field.
- EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" or "Designer' and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Basic knowledge of industry standard software, including: Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, and ability to work both independently and with dynamic teams.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments successfully.
- Willingness and ability to travel to and perform field assignments in support of project design and construction.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related field.
- Two years of industry experience
- Experience working with the South Florida Water Management District.
