Job Description
U.S. Water Services Corporation is a well-established and diverse water and wastewater utility organization specializing in utility maintenance, operations, engineering and construction services. U.S. Water is a fast paced and rapidly expanding company headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida with a staff of over 700 employees in twenty states.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists department in carrying out various Human Resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
- Assists in payroll processing and administration of compensation program.
- Helps monitor performance appraisal process.
- Participates in benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and approving invoices for payment.
- Participates in recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel (excluding managerial levels and above); and helps to coordinate the use of temporary employees.
- Conducts new employee orientations; administers preemployment tests; conducts reference checks.
- Assists in exit interview process.
- Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Facilitates the administration of random drug testing and DOT compliance records.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources. Prior experience with UKG Pro HRIS database preferred. Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a team player, and computer literacy.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, OR
- Two to five years experience in the HR field, OR
- Any similar combination of education and experience.
