Human Resources Coordinator

U.S. Water Services Corporation is a well-established and diverse water and wastewater utility organization specializing in utility maintenance, operations, engineering and construction services. U.S. Water is a fast paced and rapidly expanding company headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida with a staff of over 700 employees in twenty states.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assists department in carrying out various Human Resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
2. Assists in payroll processing and administration of compensation program.
3. Helps monitor performance appraisal process.
4. Participates in benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and approving invoices for payment.
5. Participates in recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel (excluding managerial levels and above); and helps to coordinate the use of temporary employees.
6. Conducts new employee orientations; administers preemployment tests; conducts reference checks.
7. Assists in exit interview process.
8. Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
9. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
10. Facilitates the administration of random drug testing and DOT compliance records.
11. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources. Prior experience with UKG Pro HRIS database preferred. Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a team player, and computer literacy.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, OR
2. Two to five years experience in the HR field, OR
3. Any similar combination of education and experience.
