wastewater Operators/Laborers:
**wastewater license or perusing a career in the wastewater field - preferred
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain efficiency and maintenance of the treatment facility,
- Plan and schedule the operation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
- Observe and have knowledge of all mechanical equipment within the facility and ensure that it is being properly maintained and cared for, as well as to make any suggestions of required additions or adjustments which should be made.
- Observe the operation of the treatment units daily.
- Check and adjust all equipment for proper functioning, as needed.
- Oversee all laboratory operations and assign various laboratory procedures to applicable individuals, companies and /or agencies.
- Complete and submit all reports that are required-by established State and Federal regulatory agencies or. The Authority.
- Maintenance of equipment within the plant and pumping stations.
- Visits to the pumping stations as directed by the Manger.
- Assist all other employees in a program of good housekeeping and preventative maintenance,
- Perform all work pertinent to various testing that is required, to include but not limited to: collecting samples, performing laboratory analysis, recording of pertinent data) maintenance of required records and documentation, utilization of laboratory results to make necessary adjustment in the operation of the plant. Perform housekeeping duties in the laboratory and the plant as a whole.
- Perform actual work within the operational functions of the plant.
- Perform. all required preventative maintenance as outlined in the maintenance tables of all equipment on hand within the plant.
- Perform outside maintenance such as moving, sweeping driveways, snow removal, etc.
- Sludge wasting and sludge return operations.
- Removal of sludge productions to authorized landfill, to include driving of Authority vehicle equipped with manual transmission.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager or by the Authority.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
