JOB SUMMARY
This external sales role involves promoting company products and services, fostering relationships with new and existing clientele, and driving sales and profit goals. The position may entail non-standard work hours to meet customer demands effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acquire new business, retain existing accounts, and reduce lost business for profitable sales growth within the designated area
- Identify and qualify prospects as per company account stratification goals
- Evaluate customer needs and offer suitable product and service solutions
- Stay updated on market trends, recommend products based on customer requirements
- Keep abreast of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings to provide value-added services
- Address customer queries regarding products, prices, availability, and usage
- Provide product information and training to customers
- Drive to customer sites, events, and meetings as required
- Handle accounts receivable, coordinate with credit department, and ensure timely payments
- Manage deliveries as per schedule, troubleshoot order issues
- Participate in company events, customer visits, and sales meetings
- Attend sales and district meetings, engage in ongoing training
- Assist in onboarding new staff
- Analyze sales reports, prepare sales budgets and reports, process requests, and maintain sales records
- Perform various administrative tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR HSD/GED with 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in more than one language
- Background in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or Culinary Experience
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Current automobile insurance meeting specific requirements
