POSITION: Warranty Technician and Service Coordinator-Knoxville

JOB SUMMARY
Ensure that Ball Homes’ customers receive exceptional customer service. Works with other warranty tech and customer service department to schedule and repair all work orders to customers’ satisfaction and to company quality standards within an appropriate time frame. Handle reporting, paperwork completion and distribution, manage communication with customer, Lexington and Knoxville personnel as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with our customers by managing their concerns in a prompt, courteous manner relating to warranty items that need repair.
- Provides accurate and timely information to Customer Service Department on progress and scopes of work.
- Schedules, manages, plans, and verifies as appropriate, work performed by subcontractors and vendors.
- Communicates regularly with Customer Service Manager/Knoxville Operations Manager to keep abreast of all customer issues.
- Reviews work orders and notes patterns in customer problems. Works with construction management to ensure correction of consistent quality issues.
- General home repair and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS
- Broad knowledge of construction/maintenance; strong communication skills.
- Ability to positively interact with customers and/or co-workers.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl in awkward positions.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be at least 18 years old and physically able to perform work assigned.
- Must be able to read employee handbook, safety information and task lists.
- Must be able to work with others as a team.
- Must be computer literate and able to learn relevant software applications (i.e. Newstar).
- Driver’s License and good driving record.
PROPER ATTIRE
Business casual. Appropriate attire for a professional appearance with customers. Should wear appropriate safety attire if the job situation requires.
WORK HOURS
7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, as well as availability for after-hours/weekend on-call rotation for new homes and apartment communities.
Job Type: Full-time
