Job Summary
This position performs technical duties in support of the operations of the department warehouse.
Job Duties
- Maintains warehouse inventory by monitoring amount of stock on hand and the amount of inventory used on a daily basis; prepares and maintains related reports.
- Builds out meters for installation as part of meter change out project or new meter installations.
- Receives and records deliveries; inspects deliveries for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Deactivates encoder receiver transmitters (ERTs) after old meters are removed form service.
- Stocks warehouse materials and supplies; maintains neat and organized shelves.
- Assists the procurement of materials as needed.
- Maintains warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Assists in building prefabricated regulators for residential meters sets.
- Performs related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
- Possession of or ability to readily to obtain forklift operator certification.

- Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management principles.
- Knowledge of the assembly and programming of gas meters.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines.
- Knowledge of the materials and supplies used by a natural gas utility.
- Knowledge of city purchasing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
- Skill in the operation of a forklift.
- Skill in receiving and organizing materials.
- Skill in problem solving.
- Skill in interpersonal relations.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
Physical Requirements
- The work is typically performed while standing, walking, bending, crouching or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects, climbs ladders, uses tools or materials requiring a high degree of dexterity, and distinguishes between shades of color.
- The work is typically performed in a warehouse and outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee is exposed to machinery with moving parts. Work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Regulatory Compliance Supervisor assigns work in terms of general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.
