Job Summary
This position supervises all warehouse personnel in the plant. In addition, this position has the specific responsible for supporting and coordinating all day to day scheduling/appointments for carriers transporting Huhtamaki's finished goods. This person has the responsibility to ensure plant orders are picked up on time and escalates issues/potential issues
Essential Functions
- Check and monitor safety issues within the warehouse as well as plant
- Respond to Safety, Quality, Production, and Maintenance issues as necessary
- Communicate to each shift what needs to be done or accomplished for the day.
- Enter in WIP DRP's for outside warehouses.
- Stay up on monthly Cycle counts to monitor inventory and scanning issues.
- Communicate with trucking companies on loads shipping to outside warehouses.
- Monitor inventory at outside warehouses. (R4 and VC)
- Check on any discrepancies from outside DC's from loads we shipped.
- Check invoice of Chep pallets, in and out bounds, and order as needed.
- Communicate any issues with orders to Customer Service.
- Report Warehouse Space to Corporate each Monday morning.
- Evaluate employee's midyear and yearly.
- Issue any counseling or discipline action needed.
- Pick and confirm shipments via BPCS
- Be familiar with TW.
- Schedule monthly meeting with warehouse employees.
- Adheres to and complies to all General Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
- Other duties may be assigned.

- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Possess or have the ability to possess a forklift license.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, shipping and receiving orders, procedure manuals. Ability to write to fill out required shipping and receiving paperwork.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral communication.
- Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements: prolonged sitting (50%) with frequent standing/walking (50%). Rarely lift 30 pounds with no assistance and heavier weights with assistance. Rarely pull/push 1000 lbs with a manual pallet jack. Occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, squat, and crouch. Regularly reach above, at, below, and to the side, while twisting body and twisting at waist. Climb stairs and ladders on an occasional basis. Rarely, work on platforms at various heights. Grip small pieces/parts. Twist hands at wrist while gripping and/or carrying item.
- Employee must have vision abilities required by this job which include close vision, peripheral vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, ability to adjust focus.
- Employee must have sufficient hearing to be aware of sirens and horns which alert people to danger.
- While in production areas, the employee must wear PPE, follow GMP's, be trained in knife safety.
Environment
- Incumbent works in an office/manufacturing environment and will use the following equipment: computer, calculator, telephone, fax machine, and copy machine.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in an office environment as well as a manufacturing environment with above normal heat conditions, flashing lights, noise levels exceeding 90 decibels, sirens and horns, powered moving equipment passing nearby, light dust in the air, moving mechanical parts, hazardous chemicals.
- Individual will work an average of 40 hours per week.
- Employee must be able to work various hours and various shifts which may include workdays over eight hours and/or weekends.
