Responsible for the materials and products within the warehouse in accordance with company and customer requests. Coordinates the shipping and maintenance of products that go in and out of the warehouse aligned with company policies.
Additional Information:
1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day
- Maintain DOT training for shipping hazardous materials.
- Drive a forklift vehicle to transport drums and pallets of materials.
- Complete paperwork involved in the course of the manufacturing process.
- Wear required safety equipment as needed, to include a half-face and full-face respirator.
- Transport totes/drums from building 1 to building 2 using yard dog.
- Review sales orders from customer service and coordinates the shipping of all out bound orders for drums and totes
- Use forklift in warehouse to pull product and brings to staging area for proper labeling and processing of paperwork.
- Maintains the warehouse inventory and ensures its accuracy in SAP in bin locations; organizes inventory of all supplies needed for shipping (labels, drum locks, etc.); assembles orders for replacement supplies; provides compiled inventory data for end of month inventory counts. Perform monthly inventory.
- Schedule daily pickups for LTL and full truck loads.
- If inventory for customer orders is not available add to the supervisor report with ship date to ensure orders are shipped and received on time. The supervisor report needs to be updated daily.
- Repack product for customer orders into specified packages, request new lot number as needed.
- Double check shipping documents to ensure customer receives correct paperwork.
- Send request to quality lab for certificate of analysis to ship with each order.
- Keep an open and frequent communication with customer service and production by way of phone, emails and daily meetings to ensure customer orders are shipping on time.
- Scan complete closed sales order to customer service for invoicing and store hard copies in warehouse files.
- Work overtime as determined and approved by supervisor.
- Housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding grounds.
- Assist in unloading Raw Materials being stored in warehouse.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future Must have one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have at least one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility
- Have at least prior work experience utilizing computer software such as QAD, Oracle, or SAP
