Shipping/Receiving Clerk - Tire Warehouse

Shipping / Receiving Clerk Activities:

• Accept and document (includes batching) tires delivered to the facility
• Store tires received on appropriate pallets and storage areas by use of a fork-lift. (Stack up to four high)
• Prepare tires for shipping as needed and complete forms as required
• Load scrap by maximizing container capacity using a laced format where tires are in stable stacks and prepare the forms required (i.e., BOL). Maintain accurate tire counts in the trailers
• Manage trailer lot: Trailer inventory, communication with carriers, trailer-caddy utilization, and general organization by use of FIFO
• Scrap conveyor and kick-off rail should be kept cleared to grant continuous workflow
• Maintain a clearly organized workspace
• Accept and document packages (no tires) and deliveries made to the facility
• Store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes
• Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details
• Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise

BASIC:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Forklift experience
• Proficient in English
• Proficient computer skills
• Must be able to lift up to 80lbs repeatedly

PREFERRED:

• SAP Experience
