About the Position
D&S Automotive is currently seeking an individual to join our parts team. The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate will help in keeping the parts department organized and mange flow of incoming/outbound parts.
This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 8:00 am - 5:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate will report to the Body Shop Parts Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Receive and mirror match parts to check for accuracy and quality
- Work and communicate with estimators to determine which parts are required to repair vehicles
- Work with vendors to locate and order parts in the most efficient manner
- Removing cardboard and other garbage to the dumpster
- Track returns and follow up with vendors on pending credits
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Bring scrap metal to scrapyard
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Automotive parts knowledge required
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
- At least one year automotive parts experience preferred
- Experience with parts ordering software such as Parts Trader, Parts Bridge, etc. a plus
Physical Requirements
- Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds
- Reaching above and below shoulder level
- Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to inspect parts
- Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment
- May be exposed to repetitive tasks involving hand and arm motion May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, high levels of dust and noise in repair center
