Position Summary:
This position is responsible for receiving & weighing industrial and commercial accounts material from whom we purchase our metal.
The main functions of this position are to assist us in reporting every source of inbound material with integrity in a timely manner. This person will always communicate effectively when issues or questions arise about inbound material.
The Receiving Dock Associate reports to the Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must enforce safety, company rules & regulations.
- Responsible for unloading and weighing of all inbound material through the warehouse operations and directing accepted loads to the designated areas.
- Responsible for loading & documentation of outbound shipments (as needed).
- Data collection & data input upon receipt; including updating inventory system as appropriate.
- Communicate and identify all issues to the Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.
- Direct staging of routine material to proper location for further review by Warehouse Manager.
- Assist/direct dock personnel as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area.
- Attending regular team meetings, communication & discussions.
- Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager

- Knowledge and experience of metal identification and metal industry required.
- Organization & detail oriented.
- Ability to direct a team effectively in a manner to accomplish goals.
Education and Experience:
- At least one year of receiving experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing and walking throughout operations.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.34 - $21.63 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
