Responsible for receiving, shipping and storing finished goods and raw materials; including the necessary labeling and inventory control tasks. Capable of loading bulk trucks tends to the rail branch line or spur. Associate will train new and less experienced employees in assigned tasks. Completes the required paperwork necessary on a daily basis. Any other duties/responsibiliteis assigned by management.
- Load bulk trucks from the loading stations or railcars.
- Tends to the rail branch line or spur, including all railcar hookups and silo selection.
- Keeps accurate records of material locaitons.
- Uses inventory control tools (scanners, etc.) to get information regarding material needs and necessary material movements.
- Labels and records weight as required by the packaging methods.
- Compares identifying information and couts, weights or measures items on incoming or outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
- Stages, loads/unloads and labels all shipments correctly.
- Handles shipments scheduled to be received/shipped as required.
- Document and communicate discrepancies.
- Checks all containers for condition. Corrects and reports damaged packaging.
- Assista in maintaining organization in the warehouse and rail siding.
- Participates in physical inventory counts as assigned.
- Follows first in/first out (FIFO) procedure.
- Other duties as assigned by supervision/management.
- Is aware of the significant impacts, associated impacts and the legal requirements that are inherent with acquired duties.
