Title: Warehouse Receiving & Inventory Associate

Reports To: Inventory Manager

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey 

Shift: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday, with extra hours till 5 pm, with approval from management.

30-minute lunch break at 12 noon and two 15-minute breaks at 10 am and 2 pm. Overtime and Saturday hours are available based on business needs.

Wage: Starting at $16 - Temp to permanent only with good performance & attendance after 90 days.
 
Role Description 
 
Cenmed Enterprises, established in 1992, has grown from a small two-person operation to one of the largest privately held laboratory distributors in the New York Tri-State area. You represent over 2000 manufacturers and directly sell all major medical and laboratory equipment. As a receiving associate, you will work on receiving, unloading, and loading inventory and picking/packing for order fulfillment. As a Cenmed receiving associate, you will be responsible for general duties involving physically handling products, materials, supplies, and equipment. General laborers assist in providing support to other warehouse roles as needed, including providing warehouse, production, and service support.

What You’ll Do 

Prepare and package all contracted spare parts, sub-assemblies, or finished goods to customers, vendors, and other locations.

• This includes both domestically and internationally.
• Receives and signs for incoming freight. Identifies materials, verifies count, and dispenses materials to proper cell designation. Assure the existence of receivers, bills of lading, and other receiving documentation. Reports damages to supervisor.
• Package and ship outgoing materials, by shipping instructions. Identifies shipments, and verifies count, and addresses. Prepares or assures the availability of shippers and other shipping documentation.
• Performs miscellaneous duties such as filing and retrieving paperwork, receiving return goods, packaging, crating materials, and distributing or routing materials or supplies.
• Provides transportation services for local pick-up and deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with 5S standards.
• Practices Total Quality Management in that any direct or indirect activity/knowledge that would adversely impact our products' quality, cost, or schedule performance must be dealt with conclusively and timely.
• Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.

What You’ll Bring to The Table 

• 3-5 years of warehouse experience in wholesale/retail distribution or equivalent.
• Understanding of warehousing and inventory management processes.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
• Excellent number skills and analytical mindset.
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
