Ophthalmic Surgical Center in Elmwood Park NJ looking for an Inventory Associate.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Unloads, receives, stores, packages, loads
- Prepare, maintain and file proper forms for material movement and transactions.
- Completes all necessary receiving and shipping transaction for accuracy.
- Records daily movement of inventory through the warehouse.
- Participates in periodic warehouse inventory and cycle counts by making and verifying inventory counts as well as investigating discrepancies. Orders, receives, stores, and maintains warehouse supplies.
- Receives material and equipment from suppliers and maintains inventory control.
- Issues supplies to field personnel.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory and orders
- Responsible for receipt, disposition and accounting of inventory, with a concentration on the lenses.
- This includes ensuring that merchandise is displayed, rotated and correct signs are present, monitoring
- Stock status and replenishing as needed, ensuring that floors and shelves are free of debris
- Function cooperatively with physicians, managers and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics.
- Demonstrates initiative, insight and judgement in decision making process.
- Responsible for inventory control and related tasks associated with receiving, ordering and inventory control for the surgical center.
- This includes ensuring that paperwork for merchandise is processed, confirming inventory received, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of pricing and charges. Responsible for the presentation and replenishment of merchandise.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Skill in using a Windows-based computer
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to comply with all Company implemented safety procedures
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Maintain regular attendance for hours assigned.
