Cerrowire celebrated our 100 year anniversary in 2020. In 2023 we opened our newest plant in Hartselle, Alabama, with a desire to continue to grow to best serve our customers. As the Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for the direction and control of the warehousing of finished goods in a single facility. Ensuring the department culture reflects the safety focus of Cerrowire from PPE to a clean work area from floor to the storage racks. Create the plans for the movement of materials to ensure the efficiency of warehouse operations. Provides direction to all factory warehouse operations and monitors their performance and compliance for the department direct reports.
- Complete accountability for accurate records for all inventory goods and inventory transactions for assigned storage locations. Responsible for regular inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Manage the accurate and efficient shipment of goods, including picking, packing, freight quotes and pickup, and accurate shipment transaction tracking.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse to provide easy location of goods, safety, and efficient movement of goods
- Operate and maintain a safe warehouse area including the proper storage of goods, floors free of debris, safe use of all warehouse equipment, and safety for all employees and visitors
- Actively negotiate and ensure competitive outbound shipping rates
- Explore and implement new tools and processes to increase productivity of the team
- Follow documented procedures; evaluate and implement improved processes
- Verify all shipments follow best practices for shipping and that all team members follow FIFO
- Complete technical and customer service training as assigned
- Stay up to date with shipping regulations and compliance requirements
Skills needed:
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing warehouse operations management.
- Ability to direct a team and assess individual productivity through standard performance measurements
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal management
- Team player with positive attitude
- Communicate both written and verbally at a high level
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Results-oriented, creative-problem solver able to meet deadlines
- Work with consistent quality on routine tasks for extended periods of time
