- Oversee activities directly related to warehouse operations, utilizing Lean tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrate and enforce an environment of safety. Support all safety programs. Ensure all best practice procedures are followed in all areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrates the ability to create a positive employee relations environment which results in high performing teams.
- Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures; conferring with senior leadership, staff members and others within the organization as necessary.
- Review financial statements and reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement, and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Establish processes to ensure the highest quality and most efficient deliveries to Ace retailers.
- Ensure all headcount and labor hour goals of the warehouse are met.
- Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Plan and direct activities of others.
- Create developmental opportunities for direct reports, as well as for their subordinates.
- Actively pursue succession planning for self and subordinates.
- Flexible to deal with issues that arise outside of normal business hours.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships between warehouse departments, traffic and human resources.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years related experience in the field of distribution
- Demonstrated knowledge of productivity measurement tools
- Preferred working knowledge of Ace policies and procedures
- Previous experience managing exempt level Supervisors/Managers
- Working knowledge of AS400, SAP, and Microsoft products
- Successful management experience involving multiple areas of responsibility with Retail Support
