Warehouse Forklift Associate - 1st shift
1st shift (10am - 630pm)
$21.19/hr plus $0.15/hr shift differential between 1pm and 9pm
Summary: Responsible for performing an array of duties to ensure incoming and outgoing shipments are received and shipped, supporting production, transferring materials among warehouses, inventory, etc. Maintain compliance with SBB policies and regulations governing food safety, storage and cleanliness along with other tasks assigned by Manager / Supervisor. Responsibility or Job/Duty Description:
- Conduct thorough truck inspections and temperature checks, prioritizing the safety of our products. Safely load and unload shipments, paying close attention to allergen identification.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, optimizing storage space, and following "First In, First Out" (FIFO) rules for finished goods and raw materials.
- Verify shipments against PO #s issued and report any shortages to Purchasing Department immediately.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving functions are executed accurately, promptly entering data into the current ERP program within 30 minutes of each transaction.
- Report any food safety or quality concerns, including suspicious products or conditions, to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor, Procurement and/or QA for immediate action.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and work area, prioritizing the cleanliness of ingredient containers, bags and packaging. Safety is 1st priority for everyone entering the facilities.
- Assist other departments, contributing to the overall operational efficiency.
List other important or Critical Day to Day duties or Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Logistics priority shipments. (Incoming/outgoing/intra-company transfers)
- Oversee the staging of all ingredients and materials to ensure timely and efficient support as necessary to other departments.
- Ensure a safe and orderly work environment by storing raw ingredients, packaging and finished goods in designated areas. Separate allergens form non-allergens and identity-preserved ingredients.
- Perform daily inspection to maintain warehouse equipment proper working order and ensure smooth operation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Related Experience Requirements:
- The equivalent of a high school diploma. Some college preferred;
- 2 years of sit-down forklift and electric pallet jack experience in a food related warehouse or food related distribution center.
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing warehouse, knowledge of GMPs, FIFO, and food allergen awareness strongly preferred.
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record (as this person will be trained to drive bobtail truck between our two warehouses on the same street).
Minimum Language Requirements:
- Must be able to speak and write English proficiently.
- Additional language skills preferred
Minimum Admin Skills:
- Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic typing skills, and basic math skills.
- Netsuite or similar ERP/WMS experience helpful.
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move 55 lbs occasionally, as well as engage in various physical activities.
- Must be able to work in both warm and cold conditions including production, shipping and receiving docks, dry storage and freezers.
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor / Manager

Schedule: Fulltime
Primary schedule will be Monday - Friday, 10am to 630pm, with Saturdays as needed. Schedule may vary (if production changes) so be flexible in working overtime, weekends and holidays if needed
