Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate

Mitco is a US-based manufacturer of high quality solid tires for the material handling industry. We've recently opened a new distribution center in Woodland, CA and are looking to add an experienced Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate to the team. The ideal candidate will be punctual, reliable and have a good attitude and work ethic. Must be a quick learner and problem solver who can adapt and take direction while working with minimal supervision. This position also requires that you pay close attention to detail and have good organizational skills. Forklift and warehousing experience is required. Shift is 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

- Unload all inbound deliveries from trucks or containers using forklifts and/or pallet jacks

- Check in/verify physical count and product numbers match the incoming order/transfer invoice

- Operate forklifts and/or pallet jacks to move material to it's assigned area within the warehouse

- Pull outbound orders based on order/transfer invoice then stage, verify and wrap properly for shipment

-Load all outgoing orders on trucks and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks or other equipment

- Pull, wrap and stage any will call/pickup orders in designated area for walk in customers

- Assist with inventory control, cycle counting and general organization of warehouse

- Conduct audits to identify and rectify discrepancies in physical inventory and system records.

- Collaborate with warehouse lead and or manager to ensure efficient and proper operations

- Keep a clean and safe work environment ensuring all areas of the warehouse are kept orderly and free of debris.

- Assist in other warehouse duties and activities as directed by the lead or manager

- Keep forklifts and all equipment clean and organized at all times

- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment when needed

- Adhere to all safety guidelines, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) preventing incidents or injury to self or others

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 year previous experience in warehousing operations and procedures

- Minimum of 2 year previous forklift operator experience in a warehouse environment

- Excellent attention to detail and great organizational skills

- Competent literacy skills to read orders and labels without transposing part numbers

- Competent verbal and written communication skills

- Competent basic addition and subtraction math skills

- Able to lift up to 50 pounds

- Basic computer skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
