Warehouse Clerk

SUMMARY:

Supports the successful operation of the Warehouse through the precise execution of receiving and dispatching inventory with the utmost energy and attention to detail to ensure client satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the dispatch, receipt and organization of inventory.
• Works under the supervision and direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist in the most efficient manner the handling, unloading, loading, and transfer of products.
• Scan and track arriving and departing orders.
• Receives and processes new inventory ensuring that the content coincides with the manifesto documents.
• Inspect the incoming merchandise or cargo to identify defects, damages or missing merchandise/cargo.
• Adequately unload, stack, move and place products in the designated location or area.
• Move and transfer products between various areas of the warehouse as necessary.
• Utilize the forklift, hydraulic lifts, etc to transfer and load merchandise or cargo.
• Supports the manual inventory process.
• Label merchandise to be stored properly in order to enable rapid identification and efficient retrieval.
• Stack and place cargo for storage and delivery as necessary.
• Completes and tracks outgoing orders.
• Input cargo information into operating system.
• Retrieve, prepare, pack, and properly label cargo for delivery.
• Conduct double validation of ítems to verify that outgoing orders are precise.
• Maintain tools and equipment clean and in optimum working order.
• Report any damage to, or malfunction of the equipment or tools to the Warehouse Supervisor or its designee.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and operating standards of the Warehouse.
• Adhere to all the rules and regulations regarding safety and hygiene.
• Utilize tools and equipment in an effective and safe manner, in accordance with the company’s protocols.
• Work collaboratively with other Warehouse personnel as well as other departments to complete assignments as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: this job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience working in a Warehouse preferred.
• Ability to successfully operate a Forklift.
• Ability to lift heavy weight, move, stack and pack boxes for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working changing schedules. Willingness to work after hours, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to utilize technology (computers) as required. Knowledge of the Magaya system a plus.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
