Warehouse Assistant Position Overview:
Our Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager and Coordinator. Job responsibilities include the staging of materials, tools and equipment management, and stocking installation vans with materials for the next day's job.
Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate staging of install materials and project documentation, including documentation of serial numbers of major materials
- Support crew mobilization and demobilization efforts
- Stock vans with materials when needed
- Receive shipments, assist with deliveries, and support loading and unloading efforts
- Maintain crew "pack outs" with appropriate stock of materials
- Load, unload, and cleans vehicles when needed
- Assist with routine inspections on residential install vehicles per Fleet schedule
- Assist with placard map creation
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe warehouse space at all times
- Support Will-Call requests by pulling and staging material
- Support with office cleaning, restocking, and trash removal as needed
- Support reuse of pallets and cardboard for staging, coordinate pallet recycling
- Support inventory tracking procedures and metrics
- Assist with tool management system, repairs, replacements, and record keeping
- Transport materials and equipment between locations and project sites when needed
- Effectively communicate with warehouse, operations, fleet and install crews to maintain up to date information for crews/projects
- Support projects to streamline workflow and increase crew efficiency
- Support Warehouse Manager with any warehouse related activities including inventory management, tool tracking, RMA processing, receiving/shipping, and data entry
- Reports to Warehouse Manager
Essential Functions (Specific Tasks/Deliverables)
- Stage materials and equipment
- Loads, unloads, and cleans vehicles
- Accurately prints and prepares documents for installation crew
- Transports materials and equipment between locations via a box truck
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe working space within warehouse, loading docks and parking lots
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Understanding of solar and electrical materials, equipment and installation standards
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and a stand-up forklift
- Must be highly organized & able to multi-task and set priorities
- Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying temperature
- Effective coordination and communication with Warehouse, Operations, and Installation personnel
- Proficient with computers and the following applications: Microsoft Office, Salesforce and Excel
- Must possess valid Driver's License, and meet requirements of company insurance carrier
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Positive, team mentality
- Comfortable driving box truck
- High attention to detail
- Clear verbal and written communication
Non-essential (Valued but not required skills & experience)
- Entry level or full NABCEP Certification
- Familiarity with multiple racking and mounting applications
- Forklift certified
Physical demands & work environment:
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, co-owner is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work on roof tops in varying temperatures. Vision abilities required by the job include close vision.
- Work environment: The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate. Work environment is in the warehouse.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The position is full time
- Based in either our Boulder or Denver office. Must be able to commute to either location.
- Starting salary $19.50/hr with re-evaluation 6 months after hire date
