The Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and all tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of product/materials used in the warehouse of an oilfield remanufacture facility.
The Warehouse Assistant (S&R Logistics) will report directly to the Production Foreman (Logistics Supervisor).
Detailed Description:
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
- Package and prepare materials for shipments and make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, forklifts, or sorting bins
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
- Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped
- Manage the process of unloading and loading trailers, picking up, packing and shipping stock, tracking and counting material and placing materials in proper locations
- Utilize the established tools, equipment and technologies required to initiate or complete transactions related to in and outbound processes within the warehouse
- Driving forklifts, including narrow aisle reach
- Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment
- Ensure that safety procedures are followed in accordance with established regulations e.g. OSHA, PPE, etc.
- Various other tasks as required.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds independently
- Must be very detailed oriented and thorough
- Ability to communicate effectively with department representatives and management, both verbally and in writing
- Able to work effectively with others in a team based environment to accomplish company goals and to identify and resolve shipping and receiving issues
- Ability to operate hydraulic lift trucks, forklift and other material handling equipment
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 6+ months related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift license
- Previous shop experience including Shipping, Receiving, Logistics preferred
Additional Details:
his position requires the person to work in both an office and remanufacture warehouse facility environment. The Warehouse Assistance must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. Also, must be able to work closely with others and under deadlines including time-sensitive response situations and be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days; and occasionally nights, weekends and holidays.
