We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing inventory. This role requires excellent knowledge of the food and beverages industry. Dynamic leadership skills to lead a team of warehouse workers.
Responsibilities
· Assist the Warehouse Manager in planning and organizing warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
· Monitor inventory levels and participate in regular stock counts to maintain accurate inventory records and minimize discrepancies.
· Develop and communicate daily labor plans tailored to inbound volume, ensuring optimal staffing levels and resource allocation.
· Implement and enforce cleanliness and safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse employees.
· Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure optimal productivity and adherence to company policies and procedures.
· Support employees by addressing inquiries related to availability, payroll, cash advances, time off requests, and other daily challenges as they arise.
· Coordinate with Department Leaders to ensure that all products are being efficiently tracked and moved throughout the operation.
· Create and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
· Manage budget to meet Profit and Loss (P&L) targets, ensuring financial goals are achieved.
· Work in partnership with Human Resources for disciplinary documentation when required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or senior management.
Qualifications
· Bilingual (English/ Spanish) required
· Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within a fast-paced food and beverage warehouse
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operation, supply chain, industrial engineering, food processing or related field preferred
· Knowledge of food safety
· Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving skills with strong leadership, and management skills
· Flexible work schedule hours (5am to 6pm, Mon-Sat)
· Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Proficient knowledge of inventory management and inventory controls
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
