Warehouse Assistant Lead

Office Systems Installations (OSSI, Inc) is one of Nashville's leading office furniture installation companies and we are seeking candidates suitable for Warehouse Assistant Lead. This is a position that prepares you to perform a higher-level supervisory role, supporting the warehouse supervisor, along with the operations staff in the office.

You must be highly motivated with excellent work ethics, along with the ability to communicate effectively and be comfortable using basic technology platforms.

Your hours are based on the individual job requirements with opportunities for substantial overtime any given week.

Basic Duties you will need to learn prior to becoming Warehouse Assistant:

• Assist with the daily operations of the custom furniture warehouse, including the organization, storage, and retrieval of furniture.
• Oversee and coordinate the receiving, stocking, and distribution of all custom furniture.
• Loading and unloading of glass panels & office furniture
• Ability to drive a company vehicle, as needed
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse, including safety and security of the facility.
• Organize warehouse space.
• Develop and implement procedures for efficient and accurate inventory management.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Able to achieve our daily productivity standards;
• Operate all equipment including pallet jack and forklift

Qualifications

• DOT Certified a plus
• Basic math skills (e.g. addition, subtraction)
• Good computer skills, detail orientated and problem solver
• Physically fit - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted (on occasion, may increase to 100 pounds)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have own personal reliable transportation
• Self-motivated team player
• Able to be at work on time each day
• Detail Oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
