Primary Purpose:
As an Entertainment Host you will have the opportunity to provide the highest level of customer service and give our customers the best experience in town while they visit any of our three entertainment venues: Waco Escape Rooms, Waco Pedal Tours, and Waco Axe Company. We are looking for fun, positive, and super energetic individuals who are skilled, motivated, and coachable to join our entertainment businesses. All entertainment venues provide fun interactive and hands on experiences. One of your primary responsibilities as an Entertainment Host will be to ensure our customers have a GREAT TIME! The major duties and responsibilities for the Entertainment
Host will vary depending on the assigned entertainment venue.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma / GED (preferred)

Entertainment Host Will Demonstrate the Following Special Knowledge and

20. Ability to follow the chain of command and report all concerns to immediate supervisor and/or the CEO;

21. Ability to set up and troubleshoot entertainment equipment.

Experience: One-year experience working in a high-level customer service family friendly entertainment, hospitality, or recreation environment (preferred)

Entertainment Host Major Responsibilities and Duties for all Venues:

1. Work the welcome desk and be the first point of contact to greet, welcome, and provide the highest level of customer service to all customers.

2. Explain the various entertainment options depending on the venue and review all the rules (Do’s and Don’ts) to ensure customers have the safest experience while having fun.

3. Be the perfect team member by supporting your coworkers and help when appropriate including helping out with merchandise restock, sales, and facility/equipment clean up, etc.…

4. Assist the entertainment venue team with preparation and set up for private parties, and special events as directed.

5. Bring energy and enthusiasm to all guests.

6. Ensure all amenities are clean, fresh, functional, and available.
Specifically, this includes but are not limited to the following: ensure restrooms are tidy and well stocked with paper products; and ensure all entertainment equipment is wiped down and sanitized.

7. Assist with opening and closing the doors of Waco Escape Rooms, Waco Pedal Tours, and Waco Axe Company at the designated business opening and closing times.

8. Turn on/off lights and music of the assigned entertainment venue upon opening and closing.

9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Major Responsibilities and Duties Specific to Individual Entertainment Venues

Waco Escape RoomEntertainment Hosts will introduce the Escape Room scenario and clue the group while they are playing. The Entertainment Hosts will reset the game before the next group plays.

Waco Axe CompanyEntertainment Host will act as a coach by facilitating and ensuring that each and every customer walks away having a ridiculously fun, safe and unforgettable experience. Train customers in proper throwing techniques so they learn how to throw well enough to have a positive and memorable experience. Ensure the facility, lanes, and equipment are always event-ready and the sessions are flowing smoothly (from tournament set-up to scoring games and more.

Waco Pedal Tours Entertainment Host will drive the bike around downtown daily to raise awareness and promoting the experience to locals and visiting tourists. Oversee a two-hour tour experience, entertain guest, keep a proper pace, and maintain a lively yet safe environment for riding patrons. Entertainment Host of Waco Pedal Tours must have a valid
Texas Driver’s License.

Waco Escape Rooms, Waco Pedal Tours, and Waco Axe Company are highly interactive entertainment venues. Loud music, cheerful laughs, and loud voices happen frequently. As an Entertainment Host you will experience frequent interruptions, high pressure, fast pace, people intensive, frequent public contact, frequent irregular hours, working weekdays, and weekend.

Entertainment Host will have the following physical demands: Repetitive hand, arm, and wrist motions, frequent and prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting of 30 pounds or more.

Equipment Used:
Moderate to heavy entertainment equipment and supplies
IPads to process payments
