Our reputable client located in greater New London County is seeking an interim Director of Finance to join their team for a contract opportunity where you will be providing financial leadership in managing budgets, overseeing all accounting functions, assisting with the annual audit and conducting forecast analysis. The Director of Finance provides strategic management of municipal finances and develops, manages, and directs the programs and activities of the Finance Department. Candidates should have strong finance and accounting acumen with municipal experience.
How you will make an impact:
- Manage all finance division programs, services, and activities
- Budget management and provide audit support
- Oversee Accounting and provide accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee Treasury and revenue management
- Guide payroll, A/R and A/P team members
- Munis ERP experience a must
- Must be skilled in analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution
- Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
- Minimum of 7 years related experience
