The Director Central Sterile Services represents a key member of the Perioperative Services Leadership Team and reports directly to the Vice President of Perioperative Services. The Director is responsible for administrative management, operational efficiencies, financial oversight, regulatory compliance and quality control for the Central Sterile Supply Departments at all sites. The scope of this role reflects leadership accountability for sterile processing and high-level disinfection practices throughout the organization. Organizational leadership supports performance improvement, systems development, quality control, infection prevention, interdisciplinary communication, collaborative team development, adherence to standards of professional behavior and surgeon and staff satisfaction. The Director works with the Perioperative teams to achieve the strategic goals and objective of the organization.

EDUCATION
Bachelor Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated leadership and management with a diverse workforce within Perioperative Services and/or related functional areas, with experience in performance improvement, financial management, materials management, sterile processing, high-level disinfection, infection prevention, budget planning, project planning and maintenance. Must have thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements of DPH, CMS and TJC, and an understanding of professional association standards for areas of responsibility.
