Role/Responsibilities: style="color:black">

 

The candidate will work in the Methodology Review Group (MRG) as part of the Methodology Review Committee (MRC) that reviews and approves all credit rating methodologies globally.

The candidate will be part of the unique team of senior analysts that reviews new and updated methodology, assessment and model proposals and votes on whether to approve the proposals. The candidate will also have responsibility for completing in-depth annual reviews of existing rating methodologies. The candidate will be exposed to a wide range of business lines and asset classes across all regions and will interact with various parts of Moody’s including MRG’s own model validation team, the Rating Group, the Methodology and Model Development Group, senior management as well as external parties such as market participants and at times Regulators.

 

  • The role is well-suited for someone with strong expertise in corporate, PIF or structured finance (although other areas may be considered) and who wishes to broaden scope to cover all rating groups within Moody’s. 
  • The role may also involve ad hoc participation in other areas of MRG responsibility, such as serving as a senior resource for targeted rating action reviews. 
  • This role provides extensive learning opportunities as well as high visibility within Moody’s. It requires strong leadership, analytical, communication and writing skills, and would fit a detail-oriented and inquisitive individual who enjoys investigative work. This individual must have the ability to produce high quality work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications: style="color:black">

– 10+ years of experience in credit analysis.

– Knowledge of Moody’s rating methodologies beneficial.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

– Excellent written and verbal communications skills.  

– Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$192,500]] to [[$279,200]], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
