As a member of the Merchant Services Operations (MSOPS) Program and Project Management Team, you will lead and manage projects. You will navigate and oversee initiatives focused on run the bank efficiencies as well as strategic operations implementations. Additionally, you may be asked to pilot initiatives in an agile environment (rapid "test and learn") with similar yet less stringent tracking and oversight discipline.
This position is ideal for an experienced project/program manager with strong organizational skills, an innovative mindset, risk and control experience and an analytical aptitude. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for collaboration with various businesses and functional areas across Merchant Ops, Wholesale Ops and occasionally other areas of the firm. Projects are predominantly non-IT efforts; however, may include automation / technology components. Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity, given the rapid pace of change and various constituencies supported, is required.
Job responsibilities
- Manages multiple projects ranging in size and complexity from planning to closure including:
- Scope / Charters and Business case development, financial analysis and detailed tracking associated
- Approach execution (Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid)
- Team formation and accountability
- Requirements / story development, conceptual designs and flows
- Detailed project plans and disciplined cadence for tracking and review
- Risk and Issue identification along with mitigation plans
- Change Management
- Implementation, monitoring and lessons learned
- Process Mapping and business transformation recommendations
- Create concise and detailed project artifacts including executive level presentations, leveraging firm, MSOPS or Wholesale Ops standards
- Work collaboratively with team members across cross functional teams and lines of business
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proven track record of delivering results on major projects/programs or product delivery
- Minimum of six years of financial services project or product management experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with senior executives, team members and peers; easily fosters and builds lasting relationships anchored on reputation for delivery
- Expert ability to analyze problems, frame recommendations and direct decisions
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to design, frame and deliver compelling messages, presentations, proposals and project summaries
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Merchant Processing (business or operations) and/or fintech consulting experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, SharePoint, Process Mapping software and PitchPro/ data visualization
- Ability to accurately mine and manage large data sets and demonstrate structured / analytical approach to problem solving
