Position Overview:
The Vice President, Project Management Office (PMO) will establish a Project Management Office and implement standardized procedures for successful end-to-end project execution. The position will provide leadership, strategic direction, and management of all associated processes and functions across technical and non-technical domains. The position will ensure overall alignment of project and business requirements to ensure that Project Management is handled consistently across the organization. The position will be responsible for providing updates on project status, tracking, financial implications, and overall performance. The VP, PMO will hire and develop an appropriately sized team of business analysts and project managers, as needed.
Responsibilities may include:
- Establish and support ongoing development of PMO to support successful execution of programs and projects
- Design and develop PMO guidelines, processes, & procedures on Project Management to align with QuVa goals
- Create and lead a team of high performing project managers and business analysts who partner with stakeholders from initial conception and strategic planning through execution and continuous improvement
- Define PMO best practices to create appropriate milestones and track overall project performance
- Standardize Project Management tools, templates, and methodology leveraging industry standards for consistent repeatable quality delivery
- Develop effective project and program metrics, KPIs, and reporting including but not limited to resource capacity, utilization, project status, project health, variance, and risk
- Own change management planning and execution as required
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, fostering cooperation, coordination, and communication across the organization
- Collaborate with other departments across all sites to execute on timelines to meet strategic goals
- Develop and maintain effective escalation and risk management processes
- Provide stewardship and leadership for the enterprise portfolio of programs, driving higher return, ensuring architectural fit
