Weichert Title Group is hiring a Vice President of Business Development in the Capital Region. The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for managing the Company’s sales function in order to achieve sales and profit goals within their prospective region. The position’s primary responsibility is to manage the relationships and drive results for Weichert Title Group’s joint ventures in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The position also works with the leadership team to maintain a strong sales culture across the region and to positively impact change within the entire sales process.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Fosters and nurtures a winning, sales focused culture and work environment within the region/offices with the Regional President, Branch Vice-Presidents, and sales associates.
- Evaluates current settlement practices of the JV partners’ to enhance the client experience.
- Serves as the executive liaison with each ventures ownership/senior leadership to conduct monthly and quarterly reviews of results.
- Provides onsite sales support to the team in the region, reviewing programs, ordering submissions, and developing personal sales and marketing plans for each partnership.
- Monitors production levels and Company expectations to ensure that the joint venture is adequately providing the coverage and support to the Weichert branch to which they are assigned.
- Pursues and monitors penetration and production of non Weichert business.
- Responsible to hit company goals for market share by office territory.
- Monitors the team to make sure they are performing title activities in accordance with all State and Federal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Assists in developing and delivering training presentations and identifies applicable training for use within offices. Ensures training is obtained and evaluates effectiveness.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Title Producers and Notary Licenses required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ten (10) or more years of title or real estate sales experience required
- Five (5) or more years of experience conducting real estate closings
- Five (5) or more years of direct management experience of a title sales team strongly preferred
- Captive real estate sales/management experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of the title insurance industry
- Strong sales coaching and sales development skills
- Expertise in conducting real estate closings
- Proven performance management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to conduct presentations and hold one-on-one meetings
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- Good people management skills
