  • Serve as the key accounting contact for the GTO CFO:
    • Ensure the GTO Accounting and FP&A organizations are well connected
    • Drive visibility and provide accounting support for transactions or activities that require significant judgments and estimates
    • Participate with deal teams for M&A and other strategic transactions in GTO
  • Work with the SEC reporting and Accounting Policy team:
    • Identify areas of inefficiency, implement standardized accounting processes and routines, adopt new accounting requirements
    • Assess and operationalize our corporate accounting policies to remain in compliance with GAAP
    • Assist in the quarter-end external reporting process, reviewing the 10-K/10-Q's and Statutory financial statements as it relates to the GTO business
  • Improve internal controls and processes:
    • Ensure a strong internal control environment exists and handle compliance with the Broadridge Sarbanes-Oxley program for the GTO segment
    • Identify areas for process improvement and resolve accordingly (re-engineer, automate, simplify, standardize)
  • Lead the accounting close:
    • Coordinate and lead the accounting close across the entire GTO segment, with appropriate focus on the balance sheet and areas where significant discernments and estimates are needed/used for accounting purposes
    • Assess significant estimates and review with the CFO
  • Lead or participate in special projects as needed, including but not limited to
    • Digital transformation of Finance reporting systems
    • Automation of systems and processes

Qualifications:
  • CPA required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of public accounting (5+ years in Big 4) and/or public company accounting experience
  • Strong accounting experience in areas of GAAP and SEC reporting including revenue recognition, internally developed software
  • Experience managing a global team and ability to travel is required
  • Experienced with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization; strong interest to learn, to grow, and to have a keen understanding of the GTO segments operations and strategies
  • Previous experience leading and supervising staff; strong interest to assess, develop and grow staff; guide, review and set priorities as needed
  • Strong team building skills, with the ability to craft close working relationships with a global staff across time zones
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (staff and executive) with the goal of building inclusiveness and collaboration within the GTO Controllers organization and across the entire GTO and Corporate Finance organization
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work in a dynamic business environment; highly organized and persistent in order to get things done
