Meaningful Work From Day One:
The VP Global Managing Director, Tequila is the chief steward of Brown-Forman's full-strength tequila brands and their short- and long-term performance measured by market share, revenue and earnings growth, as well as the continuous strengthening and growth of the consumer franchise. This senior executive role will partner closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including the global marketing leadership team, region and brand marketing leaders, General Managers, distillery leadership teams, R&D leadership and members of the Brown-Forman Executive Leadership team.
What You Can Expect:
  • Development and deployment of the Herradura and el Jimador Brands Global Growth Strategy. This responsibility requires continuous assessment and evolution of the current state of the four primary strategic pillars - Portfolio, Geography/Channel, Organization and Investment - and their role in delivering the strategic ambitions set for Casa Herradura and el Jimador.
  • Responsible for the development of all global creative assets and programs and the management of the associated agencies of record.
  • Responsible for the development of all key Herradura and el Jimador Brands strategies including portfolio, advertising, experiential, visual assets guide, and other associated support materials.
  • Responsible for the protection of the Intellectual Property (IP) and reputation of the relevant trademarks. This position leads a process, in collaboration with corporate and brand PR, that continuously assesses response to representations of the brands in the news and IP infringements.
  • Responsible for the brand and product innovation initiatives defined by the portfolio strategies and governed by the Stage and Gate process and BFC authorization guidelines.
  • Responsible for leading the brand-specific component of the Tequila Supply and Demand Planning (TSDP) process.
  • Responsible for development and deployment of the Homeplace strategy, partnering closely with the homeplace leadership.
  • As a member of the Brands Leadership Team, this role has joint responsibility on the leadership of our process of continuous strengthening of Brown Forman's overall marketing capabilities and the development of marketing talent around the world.
  • Collaborates with integrated marketing communications to advance the effectiveness of brand-build and commercialization opportunities in a digital world.
  • Responsible for growing and developing people with a focus on advancing our diversity, equity and inclusion ambitions.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • A minimum of 12 years of consumer goods marketing experience working across disciplines, setting global strategy for world class brands and building consumer franchises that experience world-class growth
  • Demonstrated success managing significant sized marketing budgets and teams
  • Demonstrated experience successfully influencing and partnering with stakeholders across all levels of a multinational organization
  • Strong business and financial acumen with a track record of success delivering results, managing resources with agility and making enterprise-level decisions
  • Expert understanding of marketing principles and brand growth strategy and a demonstrated record of success communicating these principles and strategies with clarity to drive adoption and execution
  • Global creative and media agency management experience
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership across a range of marketing disciplines
  • Demonstrated leadership of large-scale innovation and change management projects and initiatives
  • Demonstrated record of success inspiring brand teams to implement creative vision

What Makes You Unique:
  • Beverage alcohol and luxury goods experience is highly preferred
  • Experience leading tequila brands is also preferred
