VP, Corporate Real Estate
ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT
As the Vice President of Corporate Real Estate, you will lead and manage the department to achieve the organization's goals in Real Estate management and development and your responsibilities will include overseeing construction, facility maintenance and tenant property management. Additionally, you will have oversight of department procurement, fleet management, food and vending services, mail services, print services, ancillary services and general supplies.
In this role, you'll strategically manage, maintain and expand our Real Estate portfolio, ensuring alignment with our company's future expansion plans. With an annual operating budget exceeding $15 million, an annual capital budget in the $70-100 million range and a property portfolio of approximately 1 million square feet, you'll play a critical role in optimizing operational efficiency and protecting our Real Estate interests within various jurisdictions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of 40 employees, fostering a culture of respect, collaboration and excellence. Empower your team to achieve organizational goals and objectives while ensuring individual and department progress.
  • Develop, monitor and manage significant capital and operating budgets for the Corporate Real Estate department. Implement best practices to optimize department procurement processes and leverage company spending effectively.
  • Coordinate with impacted departments and senior management to plan facility design and space utilization. Maintain current knowledge of property management practices and assist in the development of strategic policies.
  • Direct all phases of new construction and renovations, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Provide guidance on space planning, renovation and construction projects.
  • Maintain all company facilities in a Best in Class manner. Oversee the department's property management function, serving employees and tenants in company corporate offices.
  • Participate in and oversee portions of M&A transaction planning and integration. Oversee and administer the department's BCDR plan.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Real Estate management operations, strategic planning and relationship management.
  • Extensive experience in facilities management, procurement and construction management.
  • Financial services experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to mentor and develop direct reports.
  • Ability to engage and motivate employees and stakeholders to achieve defined goals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
