Job Summary
Reports to the Chief Medical Officer. Directs a comprehensive clinical quality program to encompass the performance of hospital associates and physicians, CHOC Children's Hospital (both campuses), its primary care network, and virtual care network. Provides leadership and coordination of the CHOC Care Guideline Program. Responsible for the development and implementation of efficient, efficacious patient-centered programs. Supervises quality advisors, Executive Directors of Performance Excellence, and Directors, Clinical Quality and Safety.
Pay Range
Minimum $324,979 Midpoint $430,622 Maximum $536,245
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum five (5) years of clinical practice experience.
• Preferred: Seven (7) or more years of clinical practice experience and 5 years of proven executive leadership.
Education
• Minimum Required: MD, RN or PharmD degree from an accredited School of Medicine, Nursing, or Pharmacy.
Desired: Advanced degree - Masters degree in Science or Business.
Training
• Desired: Formal training in improvement and safety science and CPPS certification (Certified Professional in Patient Safety).
Specialized Skills
• Required: Excellent verbal/written communication, and presentation skills; analytical ability to plan HR strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives; ability to manage budgets and calculate return on investment (ROI).
Licensure Description: Licensure to practice medicine, nursing or pharmacy.
Licensure
• Required: MD, RN or PharmD licensed by the State of California.
