Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer - Quality

Play a key role in a world-class health system. As Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer for Quality, you will lead pharmacy regulatory compliance, clinical and professional development programs, and medication safety across UCLA Health. You can utilize your skills and channel your background into helping others. You’ll develop systems for improving medication management processes across the enterprise. You’ll provide respective education and consultation to the health system and medical staff. You’ll act as a channel of communication to direct issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution. You’ll develop and maintain policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance and clinical programs and their related activities. You’ll oversee the Pharmacy’s professional development and residency programs. You will also: * Lead pharmacy- and medication-related regulatory compliance efforts across UCLA Health System * Represent the pharmacy on health system regulatory compliance committees and efforts * Evaluate and ensure compliance of organizational policies with applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations * Coordinate and participate in on-site, virtual, and paper audits as required by regulatory bodies * Coordinate the creation and updating of Dept. of Pharmacy policies and procedures * Provide assistance with internal audit reviews as requested * Review, develop, implement, and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures * Lead efforts of medication safety across the system * Recommend, evaluate, and implement quality improvements * Monitor performance against goals, analyze results, and initiate appropriate action Annual Salary Range: $146,900 - $371,300

We’re seeking a strong, independent clinical leader with a PharmD, current California pharmacist licensure and: * 5 Years of managerial experience * (Accredited PGY 2 HSPAL Residency will account for 2 years of management experience) * Experience with a regulatory entity or board of pharmacy (preferably CA) required. * Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills * Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities * Ability to work well independently * Ability to read, understand, and interpret current scientific and pharmacy/hospital business journals * Ability to present publicly to larger audiences * In-depth knowledge of relevant pharmacy regulations * Strong customer service orientation * Strong health system management experience with progressive and in-depth expertise in regulatory compliance * Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities * Strong leadership/fiscal management skills * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Strong ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to all levels of staff, management, and outside personnel * Computer proficiency Named one of the top hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, UCLA Health features four award-winning hospitals and more than 250 community clinics throughout Southern California as well as the David Geffen School of Medicine.
