What you’ll do in this role:
- Assume responsibility for daily operations of the Volunteer Department
- Create a sense of team and support amongst the Volunteer team, local branch leadership and staff
- Assist the Volunteer Coordinator in training and supervising interns for all office duties
- Oversee and audit departments in MI and IL to ensure responsibilities are being completed in a timely manner and collaborate and act as a cohesive team
- Accountable for team volunteer hours performance and timely reporting of hours
- Travel as needed to determine needs and offer support to out-of-state coordinators
- Follow national approach to integration and management of Volunteer services in all Hospice divisions
- Facilitate team meetings between all departments (Volunteer in MI, IL, PA, and with our other affiliate Companies)
- Foster continued and successful collaboration between marketing and communication departments throughout Hospice nationally
- Enhance onboarding new volunteers between Volunteer Department and HR
We are looking for compassionate Hospice Volunteer Supervisor with:
- One (1+) years of supervisory and/or management experience, or demonstrated ability to manage a team, in a healthcare environment
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of products
- Reliable internet service and ability to office from home with minimal disruption to the workday
- Hospice Volunteer Coordinator experience preferred
- Homecare Homebase experience, preferred
