Volunteer Entry Level Graphic Designer

Hello there aspiring Graphic Designers! I'm Kimberly Geschke, a freelance copywriter, and KG-Creative LLC is my copywriting business. I'm just starting out as a freelance copywriter, and I need a talented Graphic Designer who is looking to build their portfolio. Please note that this is a UNPAID collaboration opportunity, where we will collaborate and share pieces for our portfolio. As a result of this collaboration, you will:

• Have awesome and realistic portfolio pieces to show off to potential recruiters.
• Get brownie points for knowing and having the experience of working with copywriters, which will put you way ahead of the applicant pool when you're applying for Entry Level jobs.
• Have a connection in the copywriting world, which means, you will be the one I reach out to when someone asks for a designer to hire

Role Description

This is a temporary remote role for an Entry Level Graphic Designer with the possibility of more work in the future if we gel together well. You and I (copywriter) will work together to create portfolio pieces for different media (e.g. emails, banner ads, websites, etc.) based off of a creative brief. I will provide copy and you will use your awesome design skills to add the visual magic to the portfolio piece. Or if you up for an adventure, we can write a creative brief of our own and give birth to fresh new company and product and create a piece for that as well. I'm open to bold ideas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
• Proficient in any design software of your choice
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership of their work
