Are you a fan of farmers’ markets? Are you passionate about expanding food access?
Sprouts of Promise seeks a Volunteer Coordinator to join our market community.
About Sprouts of Promise:
Sprouts of Promise is the 501c3 sister-organization to Farm Habit. We sponsor eight weekly farmers’ markets in Los Angeles and Orange County. In and around our markets we host programs that expand food access, fight food waste, and educate. Our programs and our markets are reliant on volunteers.
Our Volunteer Opportunities
Outside the market our Cooking Together volunteers teach hands-on, family friendly cooking classes that keep cooking fun. These classes teach kids and parents to affordably incorporate vegetables into everyday meals.
Inside our markets volunteers process CalFresh and EBT transactions, they tend our Community Compost Hubs, take photographs, provide market tours, participate in market gleaning, and help with the running of our markets.
