Visitor Services Representative, Audio Tours

Acoustiguide, the leading provider of Audio Tours for museums and attractions, is seeking exceptional individuals for our Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island operations. Acoustiguide Visitor Service Representatives facilitate amazing audio tour experiences with enthusiastic customer service, efficient distribution operations, and expert equipment management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Practice exemplary customer service by actively engaging visitors
• Become a bit of an expert in all things related to the Audio Tours, and Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
• Distribute audio tour equipment
• Demonstrate audio tour device operation to visitors
• Greet visitors, and direct crowds to equipment distribution and collection points
• Basic troubleshooting of equipment
• Ensure adequate inventory levels throughout worksite
• Loss prevention includes collecting devices from departing visitors and throughout worksite
• Meet, and exceed, service goals
• Dependability and flexibility understanding that weekends are required.
• Other duties as assigned, in support of amazing tour experiences
• Please be aware that working with us at Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island requires daily travel by ferry, and a portion of on-site work will take place outdoors (rain or shine). .

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have 1-2 years of public-facing customer service experience, as well as a genuine desire to help others. HS Diploma or equivalency required. Should be comfortable lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods of time. Fluency in a foreign language or ASL is a plus, but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Every weekend
• Weekends only
