DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Department of Mathematics has 25 tenure system faculty, 18 lecturers, about 60 graduate students, and 220 majors. Our graduate degree offerings include a Ph.D. in Mathematics as well as M.A. and M.S. degrees. Undergraduate offerings include B.A. and B.S. degrees in Mathematics, with or without teacher certification. Additional information about the department is available at math.unt.edu.
UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. POSITION SUMMARY
The Department of Mathematics at the University of North Texas invites applications to fill a Visiting Assistant Professor position for the academic year 2024/25. The teaching commitment is three courses per year in addition to research. The preferred research area is set theory and logic. Successful candidates will be paired with faculty mentors with whom they have compatible research interests.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or expect to complete their Ph.D. by August 2024.
