Salary Information Department Summary Department of Studio Art:
The Department of Studio Art offers both B.F.A. and M.F.A. degrees with concentrations that range across a breadth of media. The Studio Art Faculty are engaged artists and educators who are recognized nationally and internationally for their intellectual and creative research. Our programs enable students to prepare to be an artist, begin a career in the arts, continue their studies in graduate school, or to become leaders and educators.
College of Visual Arts and Design
Considered one of the leading visual arts and design schools in the nation, UNT's College of Visual Arts and Design is home to more than 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students in NASAD and CIDA accredited programs including the BA, BFA, MA, and MFA in art education, art history, ceramics, communication design, drawing and painting, fashion design, interaction design, interdisciplinary art and design studies, interior design, metalsmithing and jewelry, new media art, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and user-experience design, with certification offered in art museum education, and a Ph.D. offered in art education. It includes the Department of Art Education, Department of Art History, Department of Design, Foundations Program, Interdisciplinary Art and Design Studies Program, and Department of Studio Art.
College faculty enjoy active collaborations with specialized subject matter librarians, opportunities for teaching and research through UNT library special collections, and partnerships with the university's Center for Learning, Experimentation, Application, and Research.

Position Summary The College of Visual Arts and Design ( CVAD) at the University of North Texas invites applications for a full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor ( VAP) of Studio Art with a concentration in Sculpture, beginning Spring 2024. We seek an enthusiastic colleague who is interested in contributing to an established and progressive program.
The college's standard teaching load for a Visiting Assistant Professor is six (6) courses per academic year, negotiable based on specific duties. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring students, service to the college and university, maintaining an active research agenda and other types of professional development.
Minimum Qualifications M.F.A. in Sculpture or terminal degree in related field conferred by time of appointment.
