Vice President Of Operations (Remote)

*This is a remote position with approximately 50% domestic travel.*

LHH is seeking a Vice President of Operations for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client who has multiple facilities across the EST and CST time zones. In this newly created position, you will work remotely with travel to the various sites as needed. You will direct all operations related to the manufacturing, operations, purchasing, and engineering teams. We are seeking a strong leader who brings previous multi-site leadership experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven track record within previous Director or VP-level positions specifically within a manufacturing environment (THIS IS A MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENT). The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $200,000-250,000 per year plus bonus and equity as well as several different medical insurance options to choose from, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all operations across the multi-site manufacturing organization which includes sites in both the US and Mexico

• Frequent travel to headquarters, manufacturing plants, and customer sites, attend board meetings, and meet with decision makers

• Direct all business operations, review/revise standard operation procedures, prepare and maintain operations budget, and lead strategic planning meetings to ensure the achievement of company KPIs

• Ensure all departments are operating effectively, encouraging collaboration, and adhering to business quality standards

• Collaborate with business partners, launch new products, and manage a multi-site operation

• Manage the company’s supply chain activities including logistics, distribution, and customer relations

• Focus on cost-effective initiatives to increase company profitability while maintaining high levels of customer service

• Oversee and manage customer concerns and work cross-functionally with Sales Department to ensure operational capabilities to match projected growth and customer needs

• Foster a collaborative work culture through open communication, high visibility and strong leadership 

• Be a proactive leader, self-motivated and able to analyze, react and develop a plan of action and see it through

• Be a team player, value people and be able to work with diverse personalities and backgrounds

 
NON-NEGOTIABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• ***Must be bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish***

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and/or Engineering is required (Master’s Degree is strongly preferred)

• Minimum of 10+ years of Operations leadership experience at the Director or VP-level within a manufacturing setting is required

• Must have 5+ years of experience leading a multi-site operation

• Must have 5+ years of experience managing P&L of at least $50M+/year

• Strong business acumen and experience with strategic planning, budgeting, improving EBITDA, resource allocation, gross margin improvement, human resources, customer service, and leadership of direct reports

• Proven track record of implementing initiatives resulting in increased organizational efficiencies and profitable outcomes

• Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers, employees and fellow leadership, exemplifying professionalism and driving a culture of positivity and excellence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Preference toward candidates with experience in electrical manufacturing (i.e. products that use electricity to function)

• Preference toward candidates with experience leadings teams in both the US and Mexico

• Ideal candidates will have experience with Lean Six Sigma/5S strategies and know how to effectively apply them

• Must have experience using an ERP/MRP system
