Vice President of Healthcare - Department of Veterans Affairs
Position Description:
Sprezzatura is seeking a Vice President of Healthcare with the VA Central Office (VACO), Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISN), VA Medical Centers (VAMC), or Department of Defense (DoD) Health experience to assist the Government in implementing disciplined, comprehensive, and flexible program and project management best practices surrounding large, integrated healthcare transformation and innovation projects.
The nature of the projects being managed on the contract includes business process reengineering, business process improvement, business process management, change management and transition, strategic planning and communications, and executive support in a complex, large, integrated healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the planning and execution of Healthcare innovation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Contract Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to contractual, regulatory, and quality standards
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with healthcare innovation projects
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders and provide regular project updates
- Innovation and Strategy: Identify new opportunities for innovation and develop strategic approaches within the healthcare sector
- Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards of quality in all project deliverables
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders to integrate their insights into project development
- Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including personnel and materials, for optimal project outcomes
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends and regulatory changes to keep projects competitive and compliant
- Budget Oversight: Manage the financial aspects of the IDIQ contract, including budget allocation and expenditure tracking
Required Experience:
- Proven Experience in project management within healthcare or related fields
- Familiarity with the latest healthcare technologies, such as electronic health records, telemedicine, healthcare informatics, and any specialized equipment relevant to the contract
- Experienced with developing short-range and long-range plans for achieving strategic direction consistent with the VISN, VHA and VA Strategic, Performance and Operating goals
- Documented VACO/VISN/VAMC or DoD Health experience
- Demonstrated understanding of Healthcare systems, medical terminology, and the specific technology needs within the healthcare sector
- Experienced in developing and maintaining relationships with other Federal government agencies, local and state governments, community organizations, and other health care providers in VAMC's service area
- Understanding of Healthcare regulations and standards, including VISN, VHA and VA corporate guidelines
- Documented Analysis of complex data, problem-solving, and decision making, which benefit both healthcare providers and technology suppliers
- Ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
- Innovative mindset with work experience planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, reviewing, evaluating, and improving medical, administrative, and support operations in a healthcare administration setting
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Cerner
- Experience as an administrator at VA hospitals
- IDIQ contract management and Task Order Proposal Request experience (TOPR)
- Research experience in current medical publications and data on new treatments and practices
