Wholly owned by the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, Oneida ESC Group (OESC) is a holding company that provides a consistent, cost-effective common management platform supporting our family of companies united under common ownership.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Vice President of Engineering and Design Services. leading a design and consulting multi-disciplinary engineering business unit. This business unit operates with a diverse portfolio of federal, state, and commercial customers and generates an annual revenue of $20 million.
As the VP of Design and Consulting, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the growth, profitability, and success of the business unit. You will lead a team of talented engineers, designers, and consultants to deliver exceptional services and solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business unit objectives, including revenue growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with federal, state, and commercial customers, understanding their needs and providing innovative solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Team Management: Lead a diverse team of professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing client relationships and developing new partnerships to expand the customer base.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, contracts, and business operations to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
  • Collaboration: Foster collaboration and cross-functional teamwork with other business units and departments to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or Registered Architect (RA)
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in a leadership role within the design and consulting industry.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and commercial contracting processes and requirements.
  • Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with SBA's 8a Program
  • Familiarity with State DBE procurement initiatives.
