Job Summary:
The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for establishing and executing Business Development strategies and processes to drive new channel penetration in both B2B and traditional third-party reimbursement markets. Channels may include but not limited to virtual care, at-home (DTC), value-based care partnerships, employer health, and pharmacy where rapid-molecular diagnostics for acute and chronic infection detection is underserved.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
- Develops and uses a wide network of contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand the current and future industry trends, market actions, competition, pricing, and product demand changes.
- Build a pipeline of key strategic targets in the relevant marketplace that will promote business growth.
- Monitor pipeline and record and communicate relevant information timely that informs company leadership of significant events or changes.
- Articulate, in a consultative manner, to customers and/or strategic partners, the value of the company’s offerings, and how they may be applied to enhance their business and patient’s experience.
- Conducts financial feasibility studies and proposal development for new strategic venture opportunities.
- Participates in or oversees the development of contracts for new strategic venture opportunities and manages negotiations.
- Utilizes data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvement options effectively.
- Develops reporting and tools to communicate strategic plans and concepts to leadership.
- Conducts periodic status reviews of organizational goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress.
- Collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support Business Development plans.
Education/Certification –
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, or related field required.

Experience –
- 10+ years of Business Development experience in healthcare required, with 5+ years being at the senior leader level.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze new markets and, develop strategic partnerships, execute on growth initiatives and scale high-performing team.
