The Senior Program Manager will be an active participate in the Navy Business Group's Surface and Aviation Solutions account and will be expected to contribute and interface with other account and business group managers, directors, and leaders. Your role is multifaceted, requiring a blend of technical prowess, planning, and operational expertise to effectively manage a complex program. The Program Manager will be expected to meet assigned goals and metrics for revenue and performance, as well as transparently and proactively reporting status and progress. This role is located in the California, MD location with hybrid remote capabilities.
Job Duties:
- The Program Manager acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort of ACAT I and II programs or manages across multiple teams.
- Directs efforts of cross-competency team(s) to include teammates (including subcontractors) at multiple locations.
- Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
- Regularly briefs leadership on program status and milestones.
- Oversees personnel program/project operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress.
- Manages acquisition and employment of program/project resources and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/project with respect to contract requirements.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science or a related scientific or technical discipline and 15 years of experience
- At least ten (10) years of relevant professional engineering management experience with at least six (6) years of professional experience in Defense acquisition, three (3) years of which must have been in support of Navy Acquisition management; and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience is required.
- Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives.
- Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DoD 5000 series.
- Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions and financial management is required.
- Secret clearance required
