The Role

WR is searching for a Vice President, Marketing & Engagement. The Vice President of Marketing & Engagement is a dynamic and visionary leader that thrives on pushing the boundaries of innovation and creativity to enhance awareness and connection to our evolving brands and capabilities. This leadership role requires strategic thinking to oversee all Marketing and Engagement activities that will position WR as a thought leader and subject matter expert in the design industry. The VP of Marketing & Engagement is responsible for fostering a culture of brand amplification and growth, community engagement, and a curiosity to deliver solutions with meaningful knowledge and insights applied through a human-centric design lens.

 

What you will do

~ Essential Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive Marketing and Engagement strategies aligned with the company’s creative vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure Marketing and Engagement initiatives support overall business strategies and goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Marketing and Engagement efficiency and effectiveness with defined key performance indicators (KPI’s) to increase brand awareness and equity.
  • Foster team health through collaboration with executive leadership, peers, and all departments within WR; demonstrating open communication through conflict resolution, mutual commitment, and accountability to the collective organization to drive results.
  • Lead, manage and hold accountable the Marketing and customer engagement team through mentoring, coaching and employee development.

Brand Building & Positioning

  • Lead strategy and efforts that enhance and maintain WR’s brand image, ensuring consistency across all channels.
  • Develop strategies to differentiate the WR Brand and our multiple divisions that accentuate our capabilities which resonate with stakeholders and customers.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, threats, and consumer preferences to tailor our brand positioning as a thought leader in the community.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape, influencer relationships, and business/community partnerships to provide differentiation in our engagements.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to brand success.

External Marketing

  • Develop and execute innovative external marketing strategies to enhance the company’s visibility and market presence through all marketing channels.
  • Oversee digital marketing strategies, including social media, content marketing, SEO/SEM, and email marketing.
  • Deliver cutting edge digital presence by staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Lead and deliver marketing responses to specific customer requests that are highly aesthetic and provide brand differentiation and clarity tailored to their specific needs using the technology appropriate for delivery and Engagement.
  • Conceptualize and execute innovative marketing campaigns that captivate target audiences and set us apart from competitors.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize and refine campaigns for maximum impact.

Internal Marketing

  • Develop and implement internal strategies to enhance employee engagement and alignment with the company’s mission, values, goals, and brand purpose.
  • Create communication channels that promote WR culture and values.
  • Community Engagement
  • Cultivate relationships with external partners, stakeholders, industry influencers, business/community leaders to foster a positive and engaged brand presence.
  • Identify and pursue community engagement opportunities that align with the company’s values and objectives.
  • Drive activation of our showrooms through curated events that deliver knowledge, insights, connection, and community awareness.
  • Lead and manage the presence of WR in networking organizations to further our engagement in the community.
  • Collaborate with leadership team, sales teams, and employees on focused market engagement assignments and activities.

What success will look like

A successful Vice President, Marketing & Engagement will cultivate business relationships with other departments within WR and provide positive and effective representation with internal and external customers of our business.

 

Qualifications and/or Experience

The preferred candidate will hold a secondary degree from an accredited college or university in business or a related field; or a minimum of 5 years in business management or equivalent combination of education or experience.

  • Technical, functional, and professional knowledge of business operations, sales and marketing, community · Proven experience in senior marketing or business development role within the furniture or related industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Marketing and Engagement strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of Marketing and business development processes.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities for brand enhancement.
  • High level communication skills that effectively drives understanding and commitment with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
  • Proven leadership skills, assertive, self-confident, self-starter, and the ability to empower, mentor and manage employees.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions, even in difficult situations, for timely resolution and with the company’s best interest.
  • Demonstrate ability to be agile and flexible to the changing conditions of the market and be purposeful about the changes the business will need to be successful.
  • Demonstrate integrity, transparency, and trust by acting ethically in all situations.
  • Proficient in all technology tools required to effectively run the business.

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, compensation for this role is market competitive, including an annual base salary range of $100,000-$115,000. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Work Environment and Physical/Mental Demands

The position requires working typically in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as office phone/smartphone, computer/laptop/computer keyboard/mouse, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to visit and move around at construction and other customer/work sites, wearing appropriate safety protective gear. Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work related materials that frequently weigh up to 10 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh more than 25 lbs. Ability to work with numbers, research complex issues and resolve problems. Requires more advanced mathematical skills to understand spatial requirements and in doing bids. Must be able to read and comprehend complex written material, as well as ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile, and order data.
