Job Summary
Responsible for developing strategies and programs that ensure HR programs and policies are competitive, cost effective and aligned with and supportive of the business strategy.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Creates overarching strategy for client groups to advance human capital and operational objectives.
- Leads cross-business HR strategy to establish a consistent service delivery model for associate and leader populations.
- Utilizes business insight, experience, influence, and strategic planning to grow effectiveness in outcomes from interdependent behaviors (e.g., talent planning, pipeline, business reviews, building trust across executives, demonstrating behaviors that drive a collaborative culture, and creating clear accountability and expectations on outcomes.)
- Balances workload and prioritizes across HR Directors and COEs to moderate HR Business Partner impacts tied to the timing of initiatives, and several initiatives, as well as reducing HR project redundancy in individual business group initiatives.
- Ensures enterprise strategies like Incentive Design, Engagement, Listening, Training Effectiveness, and Organizational Design benefit from a common vision while not losing necessary nuance within the business groups.
- Assesses progress quarterly against goals & objectives using qualitative and quantitative assessments to determine resource support needs, priority shifts, and support from LDC to enable front-line associates, leaders, and HR partners to remain focused on running the business.
- Identifies opportunities to drive organizational improvement/effectiveness through leader collaboration, listening practices, business reviews, and COE partners that leverage the strengths and capabilities of each business.
- Effectively uses people data and analysis to provide insight into the business and HR function to guide decisions and address potential concerns through predictive analytics.

- Problems are complex and difficult. Solutions require complicated, extensive analysis and detailed investigation.
- Sets or changes the operational plans/goals of an area/business.
- Leads major business processes or support functions to execute company strategies.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 10+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management role having significant business impact.
